• Forming a strategic partnership with the Family Equality Council, a national nonprofit dedicated to achieving equality for all families, particularly those with LGBTQ members.
• Launching a Senior Research Fellows Program, which will add a signficant new dimension to our work; the first group of Fellows consists of 10 of our country's pre-eminent scholars.
• Expanding our leadership team to include Chief Operating Officer Allison Maxon, who will work closely with President Adam Pertman and Executive Director Carol Biddle.

FAMILY EQUALITY COUNCIL: FEC and NCAP will work collaboratively to strengthen the two organizations' current efforts and to shape new initiatives that advance their respective missions; details will be announced in the New Year. NCAP believes this partnership demonstrates a clear commitment to our core objective, which is to move child welfare policy and practice beyond their current “child placement” to a new paradigm explicitly focused on enabling "family success."
SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS: NCAP Resarch Director David Brodzinsky, PhD, will co-lead this exciting new program along with Pertman. LEADERSHIP TEAM: Allison Maxon, NCAP's new COO, is a nationally recognized expert in child welfare and children’s mental health. She worked most recently in senior positions at the Kinship Center in California. Allison brings 25 years of experience in all aspects of the non-profit sector, including executive leadership and program development.
